  • Removal of condylomas in men

Condylomas (genital warts) are a type of viral wart, which is a papillary growth on the skin or mucous membrane. Genital warts in men are localized in the intimate area and often go unnoticed. The height above the skin is 0.2 cm, externally they have a flesh-colored or grayish color. Benign formations of small size, which are found on the penis, scrotum and around the anus.

Treatment of condylomas in men should begin immediately after detection. We invite you to make an appointment with urologists. We guarantee complete confidentiality. Doctors specialize in the treatment of viral infections of the intimate areas. KDS Clinic performs removal of condylomas in men using the Surgitron device.

Symptoms of condylomas

Single neoplasms are difficult to detect and there is no pain syndrome. Condylomas do not bother the patient and do not affect the quality of sexual life. Formations are detected by touch or upon examination.

Papillomas in the urethra in men, around the head of the penis, around the anus and on the scrotum are common places for growths to occur. HPV is found in warm, moist places, so the folds of the genitals and anus are likely places where growths are found.

If the disease is not treated, it will progress, eventually the papillomas will grow together, protrude more above the surface of the skin, and the appearance will resemble cauliflower.

Fused papillomas affect a large area on the genitals, and then the symptoms of the disease become obvious:

  1. Pain during sexual intercourse. Growths on the head of the penis interfere with penetration and cause discomfort to partners.
  2. Itching, redness of the affected area, irritation. During friction, the growths become injured, bleed and itch.
  3. Difficulty urinating. Those papillomas that have grown in the urethra will interfere with normal urination.

If a man develops condylomas on the head of the penis, this is the first sign that the human papillomavirus (HPV) has entered the body.

You can get infected in several ways:

  • sexual intercourse – this includes vaginal, oral or anal intercourse. When healthy mucous membranes come into contact with infected genitals, infection occurs;
  • at home, 20% of those infected caught the virus due to insufficient hand hygiene, sharing personal hygiene items (washcloth, toilet rim, underwear, towels);

The absence of tumors on a man’s genitals does not mean that the person has not become a carrier of the HPV virus. If a person has a strong immune system and leads a healthy lifestyle, the body resists the virus, stopping the progression of the disease.

Decreased immunity often causes growths to appear. There are factors that negatively affect the body's immune system:

  • recurrent colds;
  • hypothermia;
  • unbalanced, meager, monotonous nutrition;
  • regular neuroses, stress, overwork, lack of sleep;
  • smoking and alcohol abuse;

Doctors recommend regular examinations to ensure the absence of the virus, and that the man’s sexual partner also be examined.

Causes of growths

Typically, growths occur not in units, but in clusters. They can appear for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Unprotected sexual contact.
  • Oral sex.
  • Infection in public places (baths, swimming pools).
  • Wearing uncomfortable underwear (accompanied by itching and pain)

Before papillomas appear on the skin of the penis and frenulum, traumatic injuries and small cracks may occur. With such damage, sexual intercourse becomes a rather painful procedure.

If initial symptoms occur, you should immediately consult a doctor. If treatment is started, the consequences can be quite serious. As a rule, one examination is enough for a medical specialist to determine the infection. If confirmation of the diagnosis is required, additional examinations are prescribed.

At times, small skin growths on the frenulum of the penis turn out to be pearly papules that decrease over time, but do not disappear. The doctor prescribes a suitable therapeutic course, often associated with the painless administration of special medications. But sometimes even surgical intervention is required. Usually we are talking about removing growths. In our clinic, these procedures are carried out at a high professional level, and there are no traces left after the operation.

If any complication occurs and the frenulum becomes deformed as a result of growths, circumcision will be required. This kind of surgical intervention is considered more complicated, but is still performed by our medical specialists perfectly.

Symptoms and diseases of the frenulum of the penis:

  • Rupture of the frenulum of the penis
  • Removal of the frenulum of the penis
  • Growths on the frenulum of the penis
  • Soreness of the frenulum of the penis
  • Papillomas on the frenulum of the penis
  • Rash on the frenulum of the penis
  • Itching of the frenulum of the penis
  • Frenum of the penis
  • Inflammation of the frenulum of the penis
  • Swelling of the frenulum of the penis

Preparing for treatment

Before starting treatment for papilloma, the doctor conducts a thorough examination of the man’s groin under magnification, makes a diagnosis, and studies tests.

The effectiveness of treatment depends on the correct diagnosis:

  1. Oral interview with a venereologist, taking an anamnesis.
  2. If the head of the penis, urethra or urethra is affected, consultation with a urologist is indicated.
  3. You need to be tested for HPV using the PCR method (scraping from the genitals), for AIDS, HIV and syphilis.
  4. Examination of the anus by a proctologist.
  5. Getting tested for STDs.

After all the tests are ready, the doctor will select the appropriate method for treating and removing papillomas for the man. Tumors can be removed only if the man does not have infectious or viral diseases in the acute stage.

Treatment methods

You should not try to treat rashes on the penis on your own. If this is caused by an infection or disease, there is a risk that incorrectly selected medications will give a blurred clinical picture and, subsequently, lead to chronicity of the disease. Therefore, when this pathology is detected, the only correct decision is to contact a specialist.

Before drawing up a treatment plan, the doctor will prescribe the patient to undergo the necessary laboratory tests - blood test, smear, scraping. Based on the results obtained, the doctor will be able to choose an effective treatment method - medication or surgery.

Drug therapy includes:

● taking antibiotics for infectious diseases;

● local use of antifungal ointments and taking appropriate tablets for fungal infections;

● if there is a virus, use antiviral drugs and ointments;

● in case of an allergic reaction, avoid contact with the allergen and take antihistamines;

● disruption of the sebaceous glands can be corrected with special ointments.

It is often recommended to abstain from sexual intercourse during the treatment period. If itching and burning are present, taking a warm bath twice a day will help relieve symptoms. When swimming, you should use antibacterial hygiene products.

If it is not possible to solve the problem conservatively, surgical methods are used. Most often this concerns genital warts. In this case, surgical resection is supplemented by taking immunomodulatory drugs.

Treatment of papilloma virus in men

If a man has condylomas on the head of the penis, treatment is carried out in two directions:

  1. Remove growths.
  2. Conduct shock antiviral therapy.

None of them have any advantages, since the doctor prescribes treatment based on their examination data and the tests obtained. Often these treatments are complementary to each other.

Drug therapy complements the process of removing papillomas in men. With its help, the immune system is strengthened to avoid relapse, since removal of papillomas again brings the patient to the doctor with the same symptoms of the disease in 30% of cases.

The patient is prescribed immunostimulants: polyoxidonium, immunal, cycloferon, etc. These drugs are prescribed only by a therapist or urologist.

Pimples on the penis in a child

This alarming symptom in a child may indicate simple heat rash. During the hot season, due to increased sweating, children's delicate skin becomes irritated, causing small pimples to appear.

A more dangerous cause is intestinal mycosis. This manifestation is also characteristic of a very contagious disease - frequency. Only a doctor can identify the specific cause, so first of all the child must be shown to a specialist.

Important

If papillomas appear on the head of a man’s penis, then curing them will not be easy, and the removal procedure will be painful.

First of all, doctors recommend that a man avoid promiscuous sex and use barrier contraception.

With early prevention and a negative test for the virus, a healthy man is offered vaccination against HPV. If the virus is detected, but papillomas have not yet had time to manifest themselves, it is advised to strengthen the immune system in order to avoid their growth.

There are several ways to strengthen your immune system:

  1. Improve your diet, add a vitamin-mineral complex or foods enriched with beneficial microelements and substances.
  2. Exercise.

In winter and in the off-season, immunologists advise strengthening the immune system with vitamin complexes and antiviral drugs.

Diagnosis of pearly papules

The diagnosis is made based on a clinical examination by a urologist or dermatovenerologist. If the change is accompanied by symptoms of inflammation - redness, swelling and itching - another etiology should be considered.

They are often confused with condylomas (genital warts), which are sexually transmitted diseases caused by HPV infection. The misconception can be easily eliminated with the help of a biopsy and microscopic examination of this change - a different number of dilated thin-walled blood vessels, proliferation of fibroblast cells and connective tissue are observed.

Features of neoplasms on the genital organs

To prescribe the most effective treatment, papillomas must be distinguished from other neoplasms on the skin of the groin area: enlarged lymph nodes, manifestations of molluscum contagiosum and the herpes virus, abscesses in the infiltration stage, tumors and inguinal hernias. Only a specialist can accurately determine the nature of neoplasms on the genital organs. Any papillomas are a source of secondary self-infection: the virus can grow locally and spread throughout the body, causing the appearance of new formations on the skin and mucous membranes.

Treatment of neoplasms

Treatment is carried out after a medical examination and consultation. If necessary, a biopsy and cytological analysis of their tissues is performed. The main principle of modern treatment of HPV infection is drug immunological therapy in combination with surgery performed by a urological surgeon. Thus, the effect on the virus in the body is not only through immunotherapy, but also through the method of physical damage to papillomas cells by radio wave evaporation during surgery. If there are signs of degeneration of the neoplasm, part of the papilloma tissue must be sent for histology to ensure the absence of oncogenic cells.

To remove papillomas on the penis, innovative surgical techniques are used (including removal using ultrasound or radio-knife). They provide rapid healing, do not cause tissue destruction, and are characterized by the absence of scars and purulent complications after surgery. The advantages of this treatment:

  • high efficiency;
  • painlessness;
  • rapid tissue healing;
  • bloodless operation;
  • absence of stitches and scab (rough burn surface).

Treatment at home

Removing growths is also possible in more gentle ways. Pharmacies sell medicines that can remove small tumors right at home. These include:

  • aloe vera based gel;
  • softening tape;
  • weedy grass;
  • celandine.

For the gel to work, it must be applied several times a day. It softens the growth, but not immediately, but after a few weeks.

A special tape works faster . It is glued to the bridle and does not come off for 5-6 days. Then the tape is moistened with water and torn off along with the unnecessary formation.

In addition, you can try to cauterize the growths with celandine, and take baths with bedbug weed.

Traditional methods of breeding are also known:

  1. Using tea tree oil . According to reviews, daily use helps the papilloma disappear on its own.
  2. Using homemade garlic or onion cream . The pureed ingredient is added to the regular cream. After which it is applied to a cotton pad and tied to the head of the penis. Leave the medicine for 2-3 hours, then thoroughly wash the genitals with running water and soap.

Self-medication can lead to the opposite effect : the growths will begin to grow faster, and scars will appear in place of the removed ones.
